Here is a smart sample of a blind embossed magazine cover with a spot UV or Varnish. I don't remember which one it was, I designed back when cloning people was current news (2002 ish).

This is a cover of magazine we designed with a lot going on. What you are looking at is embossing on the Closer logo with Metallic Gold ink overprinted. The electric chair was produced using a white ink. Yes there is such a thing as white ink… you're looking at it. To build more contrast on the electric chair we used some black ink in the shadow areas. The stock was a black cotton sheet from French Paper around 110#. This is my favorite cover designed by Luice Design.

This morning in our production meeting we decided to push the limits of the metallics unlimited printing process. Below is just a sample of the illustrator file we created for a metallics unlimited fold over business card. Every color is going to be done with metallic ink. We'll photograph when done and if you want us to send you a sample just ask.

I was cleaning out my office the other day and ran into some cool print/graphic design samples from years ago. Some date back to 2003. Showtel is a cool art show that comes to Palm Beach once a year and features local and national artist. The concept is unique because it's only 1 night and the artist take over a historic art deco hotel and decorate the rooms using their art style.

The Leila card was voted best two PMS color card in Florida by the Florida Printing Association circa 2005. It's a two color card with silver foil stamping on 110# Linen. Now that we have silk finish I would do that card with CMYK (using 200 line screen), Silver Foil Stamping and Silk Laminate on a 16pt matte.

The black Classic Columns calling card is simple and stylish. Copper Foil and Black Paper.

Check out these full color linen business cards. We received the files from Canada and were impressed with the concept of the cards. Printed on 100% organic cotton, American Apparel men and women's tees, the white areas are bleached out with a discharge ink, and the black is a black foil.
